Bosnia’s green lights 125 MW wind farm project

Bosnia gave preliminary consent to the entity’s environment ministry to grant an energy licence to local renewable energy company Imres for the construction of a 125.4 MW wind farm.

Siroka Draga Wind Farm is a 125MW onshore wind power project. It is planned in Canton 10, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction the project is expected to get commissioned in 2023.

The project is being developed by ENPRODE Engineering & Consulting and IMRES SmartGreenergy. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project. The project cost is expected to be around $88.418m.

The Siroka Draga wind farm will consist of 19 wind turbines each with a capacity of 6.6 MW. The planned wind farm will have an estimated output of 403 GWh per year.
