Bosnia Dabar hydroelectric power plant to start construction by the end of may

The general director of the company Elektroprivreda Republika Srpska Luka Petrović said that the partners from the Chinese company Gezuba announced that by the end of May they will start the main works on the 160 MW Dabar hydroelectric power plant with all facilities.

He clarified that these facilities include, among other things, the dam that creates the reservoir, as well as the completion of the pressure pipeline, the water level in part of the tunnel, as well as buildings with all equipment, and 5.5 kilometers of canals through Dabarsko polje, plus the expansion of the existing Dabarsko tunnel polje-Fatničko polje of 3.4 kilometers.

Dabar is a 160MW hydro power project. It is planned on Trebisnjica river/basin in Nevesinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is currently at the under construction stage. It will be developed in a single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024
