Romania starts receiving oil from Kazakhstan through the Turkish port of Ceyhan

The unloading of the first batch of Kazakh oil for Romania began at the Turkish port of Ceyhan, the press service of the national oil company of Kazakhstan “Kazmunaigaz” reported by BTA.

The oil is intended for the Petromidia oil refinery in Romania, owned by Kazmunaigas. The batch of 80,000 tons of oil will leave Ceyhan with the Kazakh tanker “Altau”.

Kazmunaigaz recalls that the company signed a five-year agreement at the end of last year with the Azerbaijani SOCAR for the transfer of 1.5 million tons of oil per year through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.
