The construction of an oil pipeline between Hungary and Serbia under preparation

The construction of the route of the new oil pipeline from Hungary to Novi Sad, 128 kilometers long, on the territory of Serbia, will amount to EUR 100 million, according to the website of the Ministry of Mines and Energy. 

The Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović, spoke with the acting director of Transnafta ad Pančevo, Bogdan Kuzmanović, about the preparation of the construction of a new oil pipeline between Serbia and Hungary, which will diversify the supply of oil.

During the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Peter Sziart, support for the implementation of this project was expressed, as well as that Transnafta will start talks with the Hungarian company on technical details.- The implementation of this project would ensure the diversification of crude oil supply and increase the security of supply to the Pancevo oil refinery. The total cost of crude oil transportation would be reduced compared to the transportation to Omišalj, and then the oil pipeline to the border with the Republic of Serbia – Minister Đedović said.
