Turkiye has almost completed construction of the Black Sea Sakarya gas pipeline

The construction of the gas pipeline for the supply of Black Sea blue fuel from the Sakarya field located in Turkish waters to land is 97% complete.

He also specified that the country’s gas storages are full and no problem is expected in the winter.

Turkish head of state Recep Erdogan also stated that the construction of this gas pipeline will be completed in November. The produced natural gas will partially cover Turkiye’s blue fuel needs. It is expected that the Black Sea gas will be connected to the national distribution system at the end of March.

Extraction and transportation of 540 billion cubic meters of gas from the Sakarya field in the Black Sea will be worth ten billion dollars. The first gas is planned to enter the Turkish gas network in 2023. Turkiye also planned to become gas hub for Europe.
