Romania started exporting gas to Moldova

Romania started exporting gas to Moldova on 3rd of December Iași-Ungheni gas pipeline. Transporting company pointed out that for first time gas was transported from Romania to the Republic of Moldova via the Iași-Ungheni gas pipeline.

Today, Saturday, at 1:00 p.m., gas transport started in the direction of Romania – Republic of Moldova. 1,023,266 cubic meters are planned. The compressor is working normally

the representatives of the gas transmission company said.

On November 22, officials in Chisinau announced that the Russian company Gazprom will reduce natural gas supplies to Moldova by 56.5 percent from December 1, claiming that only a part of the total volume of gas supplied to that country through gas pipelines passing through Ukraine will actually reache Moldova.
